Our Story
A NEW CHAPTER IN A NEW YORK GOLF TRADITION
Established in 1949, Alley Pond Golf Center has been part of the
Queens community for generations—a place where New Yorkers come
to learn the game, practice their swing, and spend time together.
In 2026, Alley Pond entered a new chapter. Under the operation of Knox Golf Academy, the historic facility underwent a transformation of more than $10 million, reimagining the experience for a new generation while preserving its roots as a public golf destination.
Today, Alley Pond is home to New York City’s longest single-row public driving range, featuring 71 Toptracer-equipped bays with automatic tee systems, private indoor golf simulators, a modern golf shop, restaurant and bar, and flexible spaces for private and corporate events.
At the heart of that next chapter is a commitment to youth golf. Through instruction, access, and player development, Alley Pond aims to help more young golfers discover the game, grow with it, and build pathways toward the next level—including the future generation of PGA professionals.
But Alley Pond is more than a driving range.
It’s a place to play, learn, dine, connect, and celebrate—whether
you’re picking up a club for the first time, developing your game,
meeting friends for dinner and drinks, or bringing a team together.
Est. 1949. Reimagined 2026.
Built for the next generation of New York golf.
